RECOMMENDATION:
Recommendation
Approve the purchase of two (2) 2019 Chevrolet Tahoes for the Police Department and the purchase and installation of police equipment for the Tahoes with a project cost not to exceed $133,800. The two (2) Tahoes will be used as police patrol vehicles. The purchase will occur in the new fiscal year (FY19) but during the summer recess.

SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Police Department - The new 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe Police patrol vehicles will replace two (2) Chevrolet Tahoe Police patrol vehicles which currently serve as patrol vehicles.

The two (2) new 2019 Chevrolet Tahoes will replace two (2) 2011 Chevrolet Tahoes, unit #6923-48 and unit #6409-49.

The cost for the two (2) 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe's is $77,914 ($38,957 per unit).
The cost for equipment installation (lights, graphics, lock boxes, window covers, ballistic panels, prisoner partitions, etc.) to the vehicles is $47,638 ($23,819 per unit). This quote includes the decommission of retiring vehicles to prep the vehicles for auction.
