Receive a presentation regarding the results from the Citizen Satisfaction Survey also known as the Community Livability Report.
Background

SUMMARY STATEMENT:

As part of the Mayor and Town Council goals, the Town was to conduct a Citizen Satisfaction survey. Staff identified a survey called the National Citizen Survey (NCS) which is a collaboration between the National Research Center (NRC) and the International City/County Management Association (ICMA). Further IWS managed the contract including citizen outreach and presentation materials. The advantage of this survey was the ability to compare results across the country, state and with comparable municipalities.

Attached please find the Executive Summary called the Community Livability Report and the Technical Appendices which provide the detailed results. 523 residents participated in the survey providing a margin of error of 4%. The survey compares Paradise Valley results against three benchmarks-the national database (over 500 communities), Arizona municipalities (15 communities), and those communities with annual household incomes over $120,000 (14 communities). The results were very impressive.

The presentation will highlight numerous results. Among these is a 97% rating of the overall quality of life in Paradise Valley. That ranks number 1 among Arizona communities that have participated in the study; number 1 among higher income cities, and number 2 nationally.
