Proclaim October 6th - October 12, 2019 as Fire Safety and Fire Prevention Week in Paradise Valley
Background
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
It is estimated that there are 355,400 house fires and 2,560 house-fire-related deaths in the United States each year. People who have practiced a home fire escape plan are more likely to survive a fire. Accordingly, the 2019 Fire Prevention Week theme is: “Not every hero wears a cape. Plan and practice your escape!”
At the October 10th meeting, Mayor Bien-Willner will declare October 6th - October 12, 2019 as Fire Safety and Fire Prevention Week in Paradise Valley and encourage all residents to take steps to prevent fires and practice evacuation routes.
