Recognition of Philip A. Edlund

SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Mayor Bien-Willner will recognize Phil Edlund for his nearly 30 years of volunteer service to the Town of Paradise Valley. After serving a term on the Town Council from 1990-1992, Mr. Edlund became a charter member of the newly created Municipal Property Corporation (MPC). The MPC issues and oversees bond debt on behalf of the Town to fund major capital projects such as construction of public buildings and infrastructure. During his tenure on the Board of Directors, he served as secretary, treasurer, and president.
In December 2018, the Town paid off all existing bond debt. Mr. Edlund has the distinction of overseeing the Town’s three bond issuances and their repayment. He has decided to take this opportunity to step down from the MPC.
