Background:
The Town of Paradise Valley has changed direction with the formation of an independent Information Technology department. CIO started in February with a first presentation of Budget in April 2018. This presentation updates the town council on the current status of IT.
Discussion:
IT has the full support of town management and council. We have assessed the current environment, stabilized the critical components and taken several steps to immediately increase the stability and capability of technology solutions.
35 small projects have been completed since we hired 2 new staff members in May. Two truckloads of obsolete e-waste are removed from our facilities. Hiring our last open position in September brought us to full strength. We are now able to focus on new projects and optimization. Management focuses on training staff and strategic plans.
