Adopt Resolution 2018-30 approving the 2019 Legislative Agenda
Background
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The 2019 Legislative Session for the State of Arizona begins on January 14, 2019. As our legislative delegation discuss desired changes to the Arizona Revised Statutes, they look to the municipalities they represent to provide policy and impact analyses of proposed language.
At the October 25 study session, Council reviewed and discussed the recommended legislative agenda for the upcoming year. The attached agenda incorporates the direction from Council, and provides a meaningful framework and direction for the upcoming legislative session.
BUDGETARY IMPACT:
Preserving state shared revenue, construction sales tax, and local service delivery decision making are key attributes to our long-term financial plan.
