AGENDA TITLE:
Title
Discussion of Paradise Valley Bicycle + Pedestrian Master Plan (the “Master Plan”)
Body
Background
The Planning Commission discussed the Master Plan at its July 25, 2017; August 15, 2017; September 5, 2017; and September 19, 2017 work study meetings.
There are three primary objectives for the October 17, 2017 work session meeting. No action will be taken. These objectives are as follows:
• Discuss the outcome of the Statement of Direction (SOD) from the Town Council action of October 12, 2017. The Town Council will take action on the deviations brought up by the Planning Commission to the SOD. Since the Planning Commission packet is be prepared prior to the Town Council meeting, staff will update the Planning Commission at the October 17th meeting.
• Discuss the project prioritization and draft cost estimates. This will be a preliminary discussion, with continued discussion at the November 7, 2017 work session meeting. Staff still needs to review the recently submitted material.
• Review the text on the enhanced intersections and cross-sections. These items have been updated based on input at previous meetings. A definition for enhanced intersection will still need to be added. Cross-sections will be provided at the meeting.
