SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Town of Paradise Valley has awarded funding to various community service organizations benefitting the Town, its residents, and the broader community since 1986. In 2014, the Council adopted a resolution renaming the committee, amending the policy to broaden the definition of eligible organizations, clarified the process by which funds are awarded, and gave Council the option to award some, or all, of the annual budgeted amount to an organization or project based on a needs assessment.
The first step in the process and the key question is for the Council to provide direction on whether to identify a specific project to fund or invite applications for funding.
The Council budgeted $50,000 this fiscal year for community services.
