Adopt Resolution 1341 approving the 2016 Legislative Agenda for the Town of Paradise Valley
Background
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The 2016 Legislative Session for the State of Arizona begins on January 11, 2016. As our legislative delegation discuss desired changes to the Arizona Revised Statutes, they look to the municipalities they represent to provide policy and impact analyses of proposed language.
At the October 22, 2015 study session, Council reviewed and discussed the recommended legislative agenda for the upcoming year. The attached agenda incorporates the direction from Council, and provides a meaningful framework and direction for the upcoming legislative session.
BUDGETARY IMPACT:
A thoughtful and strategic approach for the upcoming legislative session will help to preserve Town revenues and maintain low expenses.
