Citizen Review Work Session on Lighting Code Revisions

BACKGROUND:
Background
Revisions to Article 10 Height and Area Regulations, Section 1023 Outdoor Lighting and Illumination: Article 22 Hillside Development Regulations, Section 2208 Outdoor Lighting; Article 25 Signs, Section 2506 Lighting; and Special Use Permit Guidelines, Section 2 Lighting were discussed in detail at the last six work sessions and this item is scheduled for a September 20th Planning Commission hearing.
Attached please find a redlined version of the Code sections with proposed revisions. At the last work session there were questions regarding: Figure 9 - Light Source Beam Angle. A new Figure 9 has been illustrated. There were also concerns with the term “colored bulbs or lamps”. This term has been changed to “decorative colored bulbs or lamps”. The time frame for holiday lights has also been extended to include Halloween.
