Background

SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The McDonald Drive Culvert Extension Project has been in the Capital Improvement Plan since 2012 and is located on the north side of McDonald Drive between Marston Drive and 45th Street (see Attachment A for Project Location Map and Photos). The main goal of the project is to remove the westbound approach guardrail from protruding into the roadway. The existing box culvert will be extended four feet to the north, allowing for a wider sidewalk in the area and accommodating a new guardrail to be installed behind the existing sidewalk as shown on the attached Construction Documents (Attachment B).

The project is expected to take four weeks to complete once a Notice to Proceed is issued. It will require the westbound lane of McDonald Drive to be closed for three weeks to allow for temp...
