Arbor Day Tree Planting

SUMMARY STATEMENT:
As part of the Tree City USA recertification process the Town celebrates Arbor Day. This year the Arbor Day tree planting ceremony will be held on Thursday, November 3 at 3:00 p.m. at Town Hall. This year’s tree will be dedicated to former mayor Joan Lincoln. A plaque commemorating her many years of service to our community will be placed near the new tree. The Lincoln Family was not able to attend.
This year’s palo verde tree will be donated by the Community Tree Council (CTC) to celebrate the Tree City USA’s 40th anniversary. Jason Babb, the CTC tree planting coordinator will present Mayor Collins the certificate of the 40th Anniversary Tree City USA Heritage Tree.
