SUMMARY STATEMENT:
At the March 9th Study Session, town staff presented all of the projects preliminarily identified for the FY2018-22 Capital Improvement Plan. Through the discussion, the Town Council requested additional information or action on 11 projects. Projects, requested action, including a response or disposition of each, are:
1. Space Optimization Study - Rename to reflect construction
Response: Project was renamed and broken into three projects--Town Hall Remodel, Police Department Remodel, and Public Works Remodel
2. Backup Power - Separate by building and explore grants
Response: Generator projects have been separated between Police/Public Safety and Town Hall and reprogrammed. Grants will be explored
3. Photo Voltaic Project - Provide origin, tax credits, outside funding, and cost/benefit analysis
Response: Town Manager recommends deleting project due to higher priority projects in the CIP
4. Town Hall Chiller - Explore replacing with different system
Response: Make and model will be evaluated during the Town Hall remodeling project
5. Watershed Studies - Redefine scope
Response: Scope has been redefined in light of the recent approval of Resolution 2017-08
