Recommendation
Authorize the Town Manager to execute a contract in the amount not to exceed $125,943 with B&F Contracting for the removal of the town's wastewater flow metering stations.
Background

SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Earlier this year, the town and the City of Scottsdale approved a new Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) for wastewater treatment and system maintenance. This agreement eliminated the need to "close the system" which removed nearly $3 million in infrastructure projects from the Capital Improvement Program. It also requires the town to decommission its existing thirteen flow monitoring stations, reducing future maintenance cost and eliminating the possibility of malfunctions and blockages. In addition, the above ground electrical equipment and antennas will also be done away with, eliminating an eyesore at these locations. The thirteen locations are shown on the attached Project Location Map.

Staff is delivering this project via a JOC, an alternative construction delivery method as defined by A.R.S. Title 34 Chapter 6. The Town will be utilizing an existing City of Peoria contract with B&F Contracting which includes a Cooperative Purchasing clause.
