SUP-16-03: Consideration of a Special Use Permit (SUP) for private roadway gates on a 4.4-acre property located at the northwest corner of the Northern Avenue alignment and Scottsdale Road (Parcel No. 174-36-002X)

Action
Timing requirements are prescribed to act on the Special Use Permit for the private roadway gate application. Being a new SUP, the Town Council must issue a Statement of Direction (SOD) to guide its review of this application. This SOD is tentatively scheduled for discussion by the Town Council at the November 17, 2016 meeting and the earliest anticipated issuance of the SOD is expected to occur at the December 1, 2016 Town Council meeting. Since the SOD will not be issued by the Planning Commission meeting of November 15, 2016, the Planning Commission is recommended to continue this application request.
Recommendation of Continuance
The Planning Commission recommends continuing their action to the regular meeting of (December 6, 2016 or other specified meeting date or an unspecified meeting date) to allow for the Town Council to issuance their Statement of Direction.
