Recommendation
Approve the Planning Commission’s selection of Dolf Strom to serve a one-year term as Chair of the Planning Commission.
Background
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
On October 6, 2015, the Planning Commission selected Dolf Strom to serve a second one-year term as chair. Pursuant to Town Code Section 2-5-2, the Council must either approve or reject the selection within 30-days. Commissioners are allowed to serve two consecutive terms as chair.
Commissioner Strom has served on the Planning Commission since 2002. Mr. Strom has a Mechanical Engineering degree from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Cincinnati. He worked for 40 years in engineering and management positions in the gas turbine and jet engine industry. Prior to being appointed to the planning commission he served on the board of adjustment.
