Develop and advance the Capital Improvement Program by maintaining, repairing and adding critical infrastructure in the town.
Improve non-motorized mobility throughout the town by identifying missing linkage to improve pedestrian / bicycle connectivity.

Authorize the Town Manager to execute a contract with Markham Contracting in the amount of $33,313.08
Background
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
This project includes a curb realignment along the western side of 52nd Street between Orchid and Tomahawk. Currently the pavement is much wider then the roadway cross section north and south of this block. By shrinking the roadway width, this roadway cross section will be consistent with the rest of 52nd Street. This also allows for the installation of a new sidewalk along this block, completing a missing pedestrian connection.
In addition to new curbs and sidewalks, this project will also relocate an existing storm drain, add ADA accessible ramps, and restripe a bike lane. A total of four residence frontages are directly affected by this project and town staff, with the design engineer, will meet with each individually to assure the new improvements are cohesive with existing landscaping and driveways.
