Long Term Balanced Budget
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Setting the right fees and charges is an important element maintaining a long term balanced budget. Evaluating fees involves both mathematical and policy considerations. This is certainly true with planning, engineering, and fire prevention fees, which entail components of both a primary beneficiary and general public benefit.
In order to maintain relevancy to current costs, activities, and the long term balanced budget, it is essential to conduct a periodic review and analysis of fees and charges. The Town is currently doing so with the assistance of Willdan Consulting. This brief study session item will provide an overview of the process and schedule for the fee study.
