Authorize the Town Manager to execute an IGA with Maricopa County to provide Animal Care and Control services.
Background
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Town of Paradise Valley has had a long-standing relationship with Maricopa County to provide animal care and control services for Paradise Valley. The five-year IGA expires at the end of June, 2018. Maricopa County provides services including bite investigations, bite follow up, housing of strays and returning strays to rightful owners. Thus far in FY 2017-18, Maricopa County has provided assistance to the Town on over 90 incidents. The Paradise Valley Police Department is interested in extending the IGA for five more years.
BUDGETARY IMPACT:
During FY 19, $9800 was budgeted for this IGA. The first year cost of this contract is $9898.
