Approve the appointments of Keith Wong as a citizen member and Jameson Van Houten as the Mayor's representative and Chair of the Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board.
Background
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Richard Fincher resigned as Chair of the Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board (PSPRS) over the summer. Mayor Collins, pursuant to A.R.S. ?38-847, has appointed Jameson Van Houten to serve as Chair through April 2022. Mr. Van Houten has served on the Board as a citizen member since October 2013. Secondly, Mayor Collins has appointed Keith Wong to serve out the remainder of Mr. Van Houten's seat through April 2019. The Mayor's appointments require approval by the Town Council.
Jameson Van Houten is CEO and founder of Stonegate Capital Advisors, an independent investment advisory firm. He graduated summa Cum Laude from Barrett Honors College of Arizona State University. In addition to his service to the Town on the PSPRS, he serves on the Governing Board of Make-A-Wish Arizona and as an Esteemed Member with Gift of Life.
Keith Wong is a serial entrepreneur serving as a director, CEO, and chairman for several businesses over the last 25 years. He graduated from Harvard Business School and holds a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering.
