Recommendation
Cancel the June 27, 2019 regular Council meeting.
Background
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Council often cancels the second meeting in June. It has been suggested that the June 27th meeting be cancelled this year. Section II of the Town Council Rules and Procedures provide that the Council shall meet twice a month except for July and August. However, Section XIX states that the Council may suspend its rules by a majority vote.
If a time-sensitive policy matter comes up during the summer break, Section II of the rules of procedure allows the Mayor or four Council Members to call a special meeting.
