Resolutions for Specific Activities During Council Recess

SUMMARY STATEMENT:
With the Council scheduled to recess during July and August, there are two known issues that are likely to require engagement during the break. The City of Scottsdale is working to influence Phoenix Sky Harbor Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) flight paths, redirecting traffic further east and away from more densely populated areas. Additionally, zoning of development in neighboring communities along the Town’s borders may proceed during the summer months, with potential changes impact Town residents.
There are two Resolutions scheduled for action tonight that would provide the authority for the Mayor and the Town Manager to advocate for the Town’s interests in these two areas. This study session item will provide additional background information regarding the subject areas of these Resolutions.
