Adopt Resolution Number 2018-23; Appointing Town Manager as Trustee to the Arizona Metropolitan Trust.
Background
On April 13,2017, the Mayor and Town Council approved a resolution and entered into an agreement effective July 1, 2017 establishing the Arizona Metropolitan Trust for the purpose of providing health benefits to employees of The Town of Paradise Valley. The Trust Agreement provides for the designation of one Trustee and one Alternate Trustee by each participating entity to serve on the Board of Trustees. At that time, Kevin Burke was named in the Agreement as the Trustee. To ensure continuity of voting rights for the Trustee, the Trust recommended designating a position instead of a specific person as the Trustee. As such, the resolution names the Town Manager as the Trustee.
