Authorize the Mayor to execute the Intergovernmental Agreement for Regional Emergency Operations Management and Disaster Services between Maricopa County, Arizona and the Town of Paradise Valley, Arizona.

Background

 

SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The Town’s current emergency management agreement with Maricopa County expires on June 30, 2018. The purpose of the agreement is to assure the coordination, preparation, and execution of emergency management programs and plans for the preservation of life and property when disasters occur.  There are no substantive changes between the current agreement and this renewal agreement.  The term is five years.

 

Maricopa County Emergency Management requests that the Intergovernmental Agreement be renewed to maintain the current level of preparedness.
