In March 2015, the Paradise Valley Town Council approved Resolution 1330, which created the Advisory Committee on Public Safety (ACOPS).  The resolution states that the Committee shall strive to preserve and improve the quality of life for the residents of Paradise Valley by:

1.                     Promoting resident participation and engagement in the annual review and update of the Town’s Public Safety Strategic Plan.

2.                     Engaging the community on public safety issues through the Committee’s official meeting and activities.

3.                     Receiving presentations and materials from the Paradise Valley Police Department to understand the resources used and/or needed for prevention, investigation, apprehension, enforcement, education, and community/victim outreach.

4.                     Advise the Mayor and Council on Committee activities and recommendations.

This presentation will advise the Mayor and Council of the accomplishments of ACOPS since its inception and set goals for the next fiscal year.

The decision point for the Mayor & Council, in accordance with Resolution 1330, is whether or not to renew the Committee.
